700 Acre Living Lab

Imagine a 700 acre global centre for restoration/revitalization research and training...and then think about the King Campus. Yes, it's possible! Storm Cunningham, founder of the Revitalization Institute, spent a week at the King campus to determine the suitability of the campus for the development of a 700-acre living lab. The living lab will showcase the theories and ideas of the revitalization movement. King Campus will be the focus of restorative theory in practice, and will include the revitalization of natural, built, cultural and social assets. Want to learn more? Food Pantry

The King Learning Centre, with the Seneca Student Federation, is setting up a food pantry to provide emergency food for King Campus students. Please help by donating your Loonies & Toonies or for a more sizeable donation (tax receipt) or more information please contact Marlene Lecompte, ext. 5137 .

Slumdog Library Millionaire

The King Library participated in the First Year Experience program for January intake students with their version of Who Wants to Be a Library Millionaire. Students learned about library services and collections and were able to poll the audience (using Clicker technology) or ask an "expert" (Library Manager, Cynthia Mckeich) if they needed assistance. We're not sure who had more fun...the students or the library staff! If you are interested in library instruction or research skills classes for your students please contact Cynthia or call the library reference desk at ext. 5107.
